Last year I released the UNIVERSAL WESTERN ATTRACTIONS compilation CD of (mostly) Bay Area bands and songwriters that I’ve played music with over the years. Almost everyone on the compilation has played in the others band at some point so there’s a lot of overlapping in the recordings. Quite a few of the songs were produced by me including the tracks by Dirdy Birdy, Jeffrey Manson, Honey.Moon.Tree, Collin Ludlow-Matson, Honeycomb & Sleepy Todd. For The Blank Tapes contribution, I recorded an alternate chilled out CCR version of “Smoke & Mirrors” from Daydreams (2007). Collin came up with the name of the album and Dominic Santos shot the cover. We only pressed 1000 of these CDs and they went fast! You can now download the album for free, no email required.
